- Given this set up, I would say that your best option is to go ahead
- and connect them with a nullmodem cable. If you're just transferring files
- from your Amiga to the PC, you can do a Copy <file> SER: to dump the file
- over the serial cable and use whatever software on the PC to receive.
- You'll likely need to use MEmacs to adapt the files to PC text
- format before you do this.
- On the other hand, considering how limited this is, your best bet
- is to have someone mail you VLT 5.517 and multidos 1.12(?). VLT will let
- you do Z-Modem file transfers (and does a nice VT100 emulation) and
- multidos will read/write low-density DOS disks.
- CrossDOS isn't an option if you stick with AmigaOS 1.3; it will only
- run on 2.0 or higher (and is included with those versions).
- I still use 1.3 on a semi-regular basis (I MUST use WordPerfect for
- work, and REALLY wish FinalWriter could import/export WP 5.1 at least), but
- AmigaOS 2+ is so much better (shameless plug).
